Social Prescribing

Social Prescribing is a non-clinical role designed to support people with wider social and lifestyle issues that are affecting their health and wellbeing. It takes a holistic approach, focusing on ‘what matters most’ to people.

Social Prescribers can offer appointments over the phone, at the GP practice, or home visits. They can help people to link up with relevant charities and organisations to help them reach their goals and can introduce people to community groups, activities and support services.

First Contact Physiotherapy

A 30 minute appointment with an experienced physiotherapist who can assess a Musculoskeletal related issue. This can include, but is not limited to soft tissue and sports injuries, arthritis, spinal and back pain, sprains and ligament issues.

The physiotherapist can recommend various exercises and other approaches for self management and can refer on to specialist services if necessary.

Held at various sites throughout Brompton Health PCN, 5 days a week, contact your registered GP surgery in order to book an appointment.

Children’s Mental Health Assessment.

An appointment for children and young persons aged between 0 – 17 years old with mental health needs who do not reach the threshold for referral into CAMHS.

A face-to-face assessment and then 3-4 follow up appointments, if needed, for ongoing treatment that is tailored to the child or young person’s need.

The assessment is up to 90 minutes long which will allow more time to explore any issues or concerns the child or young person might have.
